Content Syndication (RSS)

Share content with other web sites, news archive services and Newsreader users, using the EBDS's Syndication module.

The EBDS provides a mechanism to syndicate your content via the emerging XML Rich Site Summary (RSS) standard (also often referred to as Really Simple Syndication).

For each RSS feed you wish to provide, you create a new posting from the RSS template, and configure the RSS placeholder to serve one of:

  • Postings on your site marked as Important (in Page Properties)
  • All postings in a Channel (and optionally its descendents)
  • The results of a MondoSearch query

The third option allows you to syndicate content based on a basic MondoSearch query, or an advanced search against Meta Data. For instance, you could syndicate all pages containing a given word, or matching an EGMS category.

RSS feeds are always in date order, newest first, and can be configured to supply any number of postings up to 25.
