Meta Data Support
The EBDS supports advanced Meta Data storage, including enforcement of Meta Data so that authors must enter the data before they can save the page.
Meta Data Placeholder
EBDS provides an advanced XML-schema based placeholder control for Meta Data. EBDS ships with example schemas for Dublin Core and Electronic Government Meta Data Standards (EGMS). You can directly implement or customise these schemas, or use them to create your own.
Meta Data is stored in an XML Placeholder as an ASP.NET DataSet, so it can be extracted, modified and aggregated using your own applications. The placeholder control also automatically creates HTML <META> tags which are indexed by MondoSearch.
Advanced Search
You can define an Advanced Search as easily as modifying an XML file. Choose which Meta Data elements you would like your users to search against and the Advanced Search page automatically provides a customised Search Form. You can even configure the same or different Meta Values to be displayed in the Search Results.
