Workflow

The two most-requested Workflow Event handlers are both covered by EBDS's Workflow module.

Email Notification

EBDS sends emails to:

• Authors who have not submitted a saved posting for over 24 hours
• Editors and Moderators who have postings awaiting their approval
• Authors who have postings expiring in fewer than 48 hours
• Authors who have had postings declined by Editors or Moderators

EBDS does not inundate inboxes: emails are sent quarter-hourly only if something concerning the recipient has occurred in the past 15 minutes. Recipients are only notified about any one item once in a day.

MondoSearch Incremental Crawl

MondoSearch crawls are controlled by EBDS's Background Processing Service. Deleted or Expired postings are removed within 15 minutes from the Search index, whilst newly-published postings are automatically added.
