Workflow
OneStopCMS uses email to notify:
- Authors who have not submitted a saved posting for approval for over 24 hours.
- Editors who have postings awaiting their approval.
- Authors who have postings expiring in fewer than 48 hours.
- Authors who have had postings declined by Editors.
OneStopCMS does not inundate inboxes; emails are sent quarter-hourly only if something concerning the recipient has occurred in the past 15 minutes and each event is only notified to the user once in any day. A daily emailed report provides a summary of all outstanding actions.
Link Checker
A system process runs each night which checks the validity of internal links throughout the system. Broken links are reported via the daily summary email.
Meta Data Support
If you wish to provide searches on specific data fields or to apply specific meta data to pages, Cubik’s technology fully supports this. So in a ‘Current Vacancies’ section of a site, we could record information against an opportunity such as the salary range that applies to the role, whether that role is temporary or permanent and full or part-time, where it is located and so on. The site visitor could then refine a search for opportunities by selecting only roles which match specific location and salary range criteria.
Cubik implements meta data via the use of XML-schema and can provide schema for industry standards such as the Electronic Government Metadata Standard (EGMS) and/or Dublin Core Metadata Standard (Dublin Core) and/or custom schema as required.
Self-Maintaining Link Lists
Meta data can be applied to categorise documents that are to be made available for download by site visitors. Link lists within pages can be configured to display links to documents based upon their categorisation. So, simply by adding a new document to the resource galleries and applying the appropriate categorisation, every links list configured to display documents matching that categorisation will be dynamically updated.
Staff Directory
In an intranet context, the solution enables the creation of an online staff directory with staff profile information.
Search Engine Accessible
Web pages are designed such that meta tags and headings are implemented effectively to be given prominence when the leading search engines crawl your site.
