From Monday 18 April, the Resource Manager parts of your website will have a slightly new look, and will work much quicker than they have done in the past. The changes that we have made are shown below.
Resource Manager
Click the Resource Manager button as normal to access the Resource Manager.

You will notice a slightly different look to the Select Resource Gallery page, and you will notice that it opens in much less time than you are used to. We have added some help text to this page.

Simply click on the blue circles to open or close a resource gallery.

And you click the name of the Gallery, just like you always have, to open up the resource gallery.
There have been no further changes to the Resource Manager.
Inserting a Page Link Icon
To insert a Page Link Icon, you use the small button with the mountain and sun on it, just like normal.

This opens up the new-look Gallery chooser, just like before. You should notice that the page appears in much less time than you’re used to. Again, click the blue circles to open/close a gallery, and click the name of the gallery to see the images that are inside it.
There have been no other changes to inserting a page link icon.
Inserting an image
To insert an image into your page content, you use the Image Manager button, just like you’re used to.

This will open the new-look Image Manager. You will notice that it opens in much less time than you are used to.

Again, you can use the blue circles to open/close galleries.
Click the name of the gallery that contains the image that you want to insert to see a list of all images in that gallery. You will notice that the galleries are in alphabetical order.

You will see thumbnails of each image, and you will notice that they are sorted alphabetically. Scroll up and down to find the image that you want to insert and then click the image or its name to see the image’s details:

Here you will see a full-size preview of the image and a box to allow you to enter the image’s Alt Text.
Because alt text is so important for your site’s accessibility, you will not be able to insert your image unless you enter at least two words to describe your image.

Click the Insert Image button to add the image to your page.
You can continue to right-click the image and select Image Properties to set other image properties, just like you are used to.

Inserting a link to a document
To insert a link to a document, you do exactly the same that you are used to. Highlight the text that you want to become the link to the document, and press the Document Manager button just like normal.

You will see the new Document Manager open in much less time than you’re used to. You’ll notice that this is the same as the page we looked at for the Image Manager.

As before, use the blue circles to open/close sub galleries. Click the name of a gallery to see the documents that are in that gallery. You will notice that they are sorted alphabetically.

Click the name of the document to add it to your page. You will have a chance to change the link text.

Click insert link to resource to add the link to your page.
You can continue to right-click the link and select Link Properties to set other link properties, just like you are used to.
