Having created the FAQ 'Browse Page' you are now ready to add the 'Detail Pages'. These pages provide both the detailed FAQ responses, and the over responses seen on the 'Browse Page'.

One 'Detail Page' will need to be created for every question you want to answer.

  1. When viewing the site in edit mode you will need to select Create New Page - 'Create New Page'.
  2. This will bring up the template gallery - from here we select 'FAQ' and then 'FAQ Detail Page'. You will then be able to see two placeholders.
  3. The first placeholder is titled 'Brief Answer'. This is where you enter a short answer to the question. The 3-4 line answer will be displayed below the question on the FAQ 'Browse Page'Brief Answer box
  4. The second placeholder is headed 'Complete Answer'. This placeholder is for entering a detailed answer to the question. A link to the complete answer will be displayed on the FAQ 'Browse Page', and it will be opened when the user clicks on the link. You don't have to enter a Complete Answer if you think that the Brief Answer has enough detail.Complete Answer
  5. When you have completed your answers select Save Page. You will then be asked to name the page, in this instance the name of the page will be the question you are answering. Remember - Punctuation such as Apostrophes and Question Marks can only be used in the 'Display Name'. FAQ Page Name
  6. This process needs to be completed for each question. If you are an author on the site your pages will be submitted for approval. If you are an editor you will need to approve pages to go onto the live site. This can be achieved by selecting Approve Page.
