Blog
Blogs can be used to provide a series of updates to your site visitors about something that you are doing, perhaps a charity walk or a conference. Visitors can subscribe to the blog using an RSS feed.

Setting up a blog on your website is something that can be done using the standard CMS tools. Follow these simple instructions to create a blog.
- Create a new channel on your website to contain your blog. The Display Name of this channel should be the title that you want to give to your blog. Make sure that you leave the 'Create Channel Summary' option ticked when you create the channel.
- Edit the default channel summary page, and change the View Mode from Standard to Blog. This will ensure that the summary page shows each of your posts in a blog format.
- Make sure that the Sorting option is set to Start Publishing Date, Newest First and the Display RSS Link option is set to Top.
- Create each of your blog posts inside this channel using the General Content template. You can add text, images and links into these pages in the same way as a normal content page. Set the AllowFeedbackComments custom property to True on each of the pages (or send an email to help@cubik.co.uk to request that we add this property to the entire channel).
- To add Tags/Categories to your blog posts, use the AToZKeywords Custom Property on each of the general content pages. Separate each keyword with a semi-colon. Adding tags to each of your blog posts will generate a Tag Cloud on the main blog summary page.
- Each of your blog posts will now appear on the Channel Summary page as separate entries. You will notice that at the top of the blog, there are archive links that are automatically generated. This allows your site visitors to see all the blog posts from a particular month.
If you set the AllowFeedbackComments custom property, but the Add a Comment link does not appear on your blog posts, there may be some configuration work that we need to do for you. Please send an email to help@cubik.co.uk and request that we enable comments for your site.
